The Tiger Inn
South East England East Sussex Eastbourne
- From £140 a night
Book your stay securely on a third-party website
Situated on a picture-perfect village green of flint-walled cottages, the Tiger Inn’s setting is about as idyllic it gets, and – just half a mile from Birling Gap – it’s a popular lunchtime stop for walkers tramping the South Downs Way. Serving a selection of real ales from local breweries and using locally sourced ingredients for their traditional pub food menu. It is a thoroughly cosy old place located in a delightful Sussex village of East Dean, with 5 country-style bedrooms upstairs – 4 doubles and 1 twin – all with en-suite bathrooms and full Sussex breakfast served each morning. The same owners also rent 8 self- catering cottages set in a delightful walled garden nearby, plus there is the opportunity to stay in the B&B rooms at the spectacular Belle Tout lighthouse, recently restored but still enjoying a magnificent position high on the chalk cliffs of nearby Beachy Head. Tell us if you know of any other pub that has its own lighthouse!
