With a string of really good shops, pocket-sized Holt is worth a couple of hours of anyone’s time – and Byfords, right in the centre on the main square, is the town’s best café, deli and bakery. It’s all here, from breakfast croissants, lunchtime salads with Mediterranean pizzazz through to afternoon cream teas, taken either inside or on the pavement terrace.
