Peter Coke Shell Gallery
West Cliff Sheringham NR26 8JT
In the 1950s, the actor Peter Coke was famous for playing Paul Temple in the radio series ‘Francis Durbridge Presents’, but not many people know that he also had an all-consuming hobby – making sculptures in general, and flower arrangements in particular, from seashells. The results are exhibited here, five decades of painstaking work that take the breath away. Not as prissy as you might expect, and great for young children.
