Riverside Walk
River Avon, Bath
The River Avon cuts right through Bath, and following it as it flows over the weir below Pulteney Bridge and on towards Bristol gives a fine architectural overview of the city – apart from the striking Italianate bridge itself, you’ll take in views of Bath Abbey, the terraced Georgian townhouses of Pierrepont Street and, after bridging the Kennet and Avon Canal, the more modern SouthGate Bath complex. You can cut across to the city centre at North Parade or follow the towpath to its end at Churchill Bridge.
