Situated on the borders of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, within easy reach of Worcester to the north, Well Furlong Cottage is an ideal and very luxurious base for the northern Cotswolds, with a super-peaceful location at the end of a private lane in the small village of Little Comberton. It's as suitable for an active stay as an indolent one, with everything you could need on site including a sumptuous indoor swimming pool, spa and tennis court, but within reach also of a multitude of compelling attractions, from the idyllic town of Broadway and the Cotswolds to the southeast to the glorious countryside of Worcestershire and the Malvern Hills, which lie just a short drive away to the north and west.
The cottage sits in 80 acres of private land, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and any number of walks are possible from your doorstep. There is a good-sized living room, an up-to-date and very well-equipped kitchen and three bedrooms, all of which have en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds with high-quality bed linen that can either be used as twins or super-kings. They will also make up extra beds for larger groups, when necessary.
One of the nice things about the property is that the pool and spa are attached, so you can just wander through in your dressing gown to access the pool, jacuzzi and steam room, or just sit around and enjoy a glass of wine. The property is dog-friendly too, and with advance notice owners Giles and Pollyanne will lay on toys, bikes, baby equipment or whatever is appropriate for your family or group. There is, in any case, a dedicated (and massive) games room attached to the cottage on the first floor, above the pool, with table tennis, pool, air hockey, and a bedroom area. On top of that, Giles and Pollyanne can book treatments with a local beauty therapist and masseur who they use themselves.
Above all, it's all super-flexible if you're a large group. The games room can accommodate 2 extra guests if needed, plus there's the super-luxurious shepherds retreat in a nearby field which can sleep 2–4 people, should you require more accommodation.
Finally, those walks: if you're not wandering the extensive grounds, nearby Bredon Hill is well known for its trails (cycling, too), and there are also plenty of flatter routes alongside the nearby River Avon, while The Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills are second-to-none for walking and cycling – Giles and Pollyanne live next door and can advise you on all the best routes and attractions. They can also provide secure storage for your bikes and are in general great advocates for a location that's a great fit whether you're after an outdoorsy break or one more focused on home comforts. Well Furlong Cottage does both – equally well!
