At the centre of Bristol’s Waterfront development, this almost wantonly hip arts centre is a bit of a hangout, with a café patronised by everyone from web designers supping local ciders and the yummiest of mummies at regular Monday mum-and-baby film screenings to the serious folk who come to view the mainly subtitled movies that show at the centre’s three cinema screens. And film is really the thing. Sunday sees special film screenings in the restaurant/bar area, and Mark Cosgrove’s innovative and inspiring independent film programming is a major defining force among Bristol’s cultural landscape.
