Chef Laurent Couvreur, who learned his trade in the Michelin-starred eateries of the Cote d’Azur, ensures there's authenticity in this small French find. With Provençal antiques on the walls, it feels delightfully Gallic, yet it's housed in a Georgian townhouse in a cute little oh-so-English street. Food is southern-French and comforting, with starters such as lobster ravioli and fish soup leading on to venison filet, roast quail and slow-cooked belly pork. Round off with a tarte aux pommes or cheese plate if you have the room.
