Green Park Brasserie
Green Park Brasserie, Green Park Station, Bath, BA1 1JB
In the 19th-century this place sold tickets to train-boarding passengers. Now it serves up good grub to all-comers, at all times of the day. The one-time station building, now painted deep red inside, is a stylish yet informal space, and the courtyard seating is still covered by the arching station roof, which means you can eat 'outside' even if it's raining. Food is 'eclectic English', which means organic beefburgers, pollack fishcakes, interesting salads, rib-eye steaks and more, plus curries thrown in for good measure; there's a mix of snacky and fancy, so you can suit your mood. The feel is family-friendly for Saturday breakfast, which uses goodies from the weekly Green Park Station Farmers' Market, just outside. Most evenings (Wed–Sat) take on a more adult feel, when live jazz resounds around the walls.
