Little Theatre Cinema
St Michaels Pl Bath Somerset BA1 1SG
The Little Theatre has been screening talkies in the heart of Bath since 1939. It's had the necessary digital and sound updates since, but essentially still feels like an old-school cinema, although the original balcony in the main auditorium now has comfy sofas if you want to watch in more style. There's no bar to lounge in, but you can take drinks and good snacks from the kiosk into the screens. The Little is part of the Picture House group, a smallish chain of independent cinemas, which means you get a good mix of movies here – some biggies, some arthouse, plus screenings of stuff like the MET Opera and National Theatre productions. There are often special events too.
