The funky surroundings are a bonus at Rocket & Relish, as it's the burgers themselves that are the main attraction here. Located near the top end of the Lisburn Road, it is definitely worth the trek from the city centre as the various burger combinations on offer are mouth-wateringly good. My favourite is the 6oz chargrilled beef option with feta cheese, black olive tapenade, sun blushed tomato, fried onion, aioli and rocket... heavenly. For a bit of zing, check out the goat's cheese and jalapeño combo. The menu also has a choice of chicken burgers, vegetarian creations (I can recommend the aubergine, goat's cheese and sun blushed tomato), sliders (mini burgers), kid's sized portions and an array of tasty sides – I'm yet to try sweet potato fries better than those served at R&R. It's a popular lunchtime haunt for the trendy folk of the Lisburn Road, students and nearby office workers. In the evenings it has a more relaxed atmosphere and a certain buzz, no doubt fuelled by its BYO status. What more could you ask of a burger joint?
