A sea-view holiday home rarely has sea views as good as this. Virtually every window of Headland Cottage frames a new outlook on beautiful Cardigan Bay and there’s a terrace with panoramic vistas too. Look for long enough and you might even spot the dolphins the area is famous for without needing to step outside the front door. Despite that, you’ll definitely be drawn out for a walk. After all, it’s only a short one to the sandy beaches, eateries and other attractions of Aberporth, where you’ll find this three-bedroom holiday home.
Part of the Plas Llangoedmor estate, Headland Cottage is a stylish seaside getaway that sleeps up to six. It’s got a tasteful maritime theme befitting what’s outside the window and the history of the house. This is a fisherman’s cottage that's been thoroughly renovated, bringing it up to date. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and there’s a barbecue and pizza oven on the terrace as well. Inside, the sociable living spaces have stone walls, wooden floors and natural fibre matting, complemented by underfloor heating throughout and a colour scheme of sea greens and blues.
Upstairs, the theme is stronger. Each bedroom has exposed beams and its own take on coastal decor. What might be called the master elsewhere is 'The Captain’s Room' here – decorated in neutral colours with boats featured in frames, on walls and cushions. It has a super-king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Next door, the twin has colourful shells on its feature wall, while the third guest room, another double (with a king-size bed), has deeper colours and a quirky sea life motif. To complete the accommodation, there’s a family bathroom with a free-standing bath and rainfall shower.
It all makes for a comfortable, relaxing space for a family or a small group of friends and it’s dog-friendly too. A perfect location for exploring this part of Cardigan Bay, all the amenities you could wish for are only a walk away, including direct access to the Ceredigion Coast Path. A bit further afield, Cardigan is 15 minutes’ drive to the south and the Pembrokeshire National Park just beyond; New Quay is half an hour north, all of it linked by the Wales Coast Path.
