Conveniently located a short walk from the town centre, close to the surf at Porthmeor Beach, The Nook is a lovely contemporary guesthouse that's handy for pretty much everything in St Ives. Run by John and Louise Bryan, it looks a rather plain prospect from the outside, but inside it's as up-to-date and comfortable a place as you could wish for, with ten modern double, twin and family rooms, most of them with kingsize beds, flatscreen Freeview TVs, DVD players, digital radios, free wifi and en-suite shower or bathrooms. Breakfast are always varied and delicious, and there's a spacious lounge downstairs, an outside decking area and in general the sort of welcome that keeps many of their guests coming back year after year. Basically it's a great place for chilling out and making the most of being in St Ives, and is situated in an excellent location, yet charges rates that are extremely competitive and affordable.
