Dressing up doesn’t seem to come naturally to Bristol folk round here (it’s all about laid-back attitude in the Southwest), but if you need to scrub up, this palace of high-end fashion, perfumes, jewellery and general swankiness is the place to visit. They have personal shoppers, all the brand names you’d expect and some astonishing sales at the end of January each year. Their restaurant is one of the finest in the city, decorated in gold, and there’s a neat bar, which serves cocktails at sundown, and afternoon tea including cupcakes for those wanting a rest between shops. A superluxury oasis in the heart of Bristol.
