Brighton Pier Madeira Drive Brighton
With all too many of the chippies in central Brighton doling out mediocre fare, you’d expect the restaurant on Brighton Pier to be no better. But in fact, it’s good enough to restore your faith in the English seaside. Their no-frills, chip-shop-style battered fish and chips are just as they should be – crisp and golden on the outside, fluffy within – and if you end up leaving a few scraps you can toss them to the circling seagulls.
