Sea Life Brighton
Marine Parade Brighton BN2 1TB
A trip to the Aquarium at the foot of the pier has been part of the Brighton tourist experience since 1872, but the Victorians would scarcely recognise its current incarnation. Like other Sea Life Centres dotted around the world, it has a strong conservation ethic, and it displays its fine collection of tropical fish, seahorses, rays, turtles and sharks in imaginatively designed tanks – some curvy, some tunnel-shaped, and some open-topped for the ultimate encounter.
