Down on hip Norman’s Road in St Leonards-on-Sea, SHOP is crammed with all sorts of beautiful things you didn’t know you needed until you clapped eyes on them, from stylish homeware to vintage clothing, Moroccan satchels, stationary, pure wool blankets and sheepskins, jewellery, vintage furniture and True Grace candles … and that’s just for starters. It’s the sort of place it’s quite frankly impossible to leave empty-handed – or empty-stomached for that matter, because one corner of the shop is taken up by the Michala’s Cute Cakes tea room, which serves up door-stop portions of delicious homemade cakes in all sorts of wonderful flavours, from Rhubarb and champagne to Double Chocolate Nutella cheesecake to a fresh cream Eton Mess cake.
