That's exactly what you get at Braganza, a four-bedroom, eight-person holiday home in the picturesque village of Elmer. Close to Goodwood for the racehorse and motorsport fans among you, and not far from Arundel, the house nestles within a peaceful private estate, blending modern luxury and 21st-century amenities with seaside charm.

Recently renovated to a high standard, the vibe is contemporary yet welcoming and cosy, with a large open-plan living and dining area upstairs decorated with splashes of colour, thanks to vibrant cushions and patterned curtains. Featuring full-length windows, you can savour the glorious garden and Elmer Beach vistas even on cooler days, or from the balcony during the warmer months. Wherever you're admiring the outlooks from, keep an eye out for dolphins – known to frequent the sea. In the fully-equipped kitchen, you'll find sleek countertops, plenty of storage and appliances like a dishwasher, a toaster, a washing machine and an oven. Meanwhile, three of the luxe bedrooms have super kings and the other has bunk beds – ideal for children or friends who don't mind sharing. All have plush White Company linen, while the master has an en-suite with a walk-in shower. Elsewhere, you'll find two more modern bathrooms and a half-bath.

Stylish as Braganza is, the real highlight is its connection with the outside, boasting a big (and long) garden that leads down to the beach – perfect for lazy days relaxing. But if you do fancy venturing out, the town of Arundel with its historic castle is 15 minutes away, Chichester and Goodwood are both 20, and Littlehampton, Climping and Bognor Regis are within easy reach too. After a day exploring, it's back to Braganza to sit on the patio and enjoy an al fresco dinner before heading for a sunset seaside stroll.

Great stay
