It's character and colour all the way at 15 Bond Street, a two-bedroom house in West Sussex designed by interiors enthusiast Sarah Moore, presenter of ‘Money for Nothing’ on BBC One. With an impressive talent for upcycling, you'll notice Sarah's trademark style throughout, from bespoke antique furniture to vintage glassware and plates. Newly and lovingly revamped, the four-person cottage sits in the Cathedral quarter of Arundel's Old Town.
Steeped in history, 15 Bond Street was once the home of bakers and servants from the castle estate. Now, the house welcomes holidaymakers, offering a tranquil getaway from the bustle of the town centre. Step through the sage green front door into the lounge and be greeted by eclectic yet charming interiors, from the exposed beams and corner set aside for cocktail making to vibrant artwork. Above the red stove in the fireplace you'll spot a framed picture, cleverly disguising the Smart TV. Beyond, you'll discover the compact rhubarb-hued kitchen, equipped with all you need including cookery books. If you prefer to dine out, Arundel has plenty of places to eat and drink, including nine pubs and a local brewery.
Back at 15 Bond Street, take care climbing the stairs: when you reach the top, it's oh-so worth it when you see the king-size master decked out with William Morris wallpaper and mid-century finds. Also on that floor is the main bathroom, complete with a freestanding bath and separate shower, eye-catching yellow and white handmade Moroccan tiles and reclaimed panelling. The second guest room? A separate romantic hideaway across the Twitten (the Sussex word for narrow pathway) in the original bakehouse, a few steps into the gated garden. There, you'll uncover a small wood-panelled studio with an uber-comfy raised king-size bed, underfloor heating, a sink and cloakroom, plus everything you need to make a morning beverage. Sarah's style is visible here as well, with reclaimed shutters and striking paintings. Windows open onto the south-facing garden, and views of Arundel can be admired in the distance. You may well find yourself drawing straws for the rather lovely space. Back in the cottage, additional quirky features include a marble-topped pantry under the stairs and a dinky garden room overlooking the River Arun.
Wandering around the town, you'll spot an array of independent shops, delis and restaurants, and of course, the historic castle. Further afield, head into the South Downs National Park or drive 15 minutes to the coast. Goodwood and Chichester are also easily reachable. But really, the best place is 15 Bond Street, where on warm evenings it's all about relaxing in the well-tended garden, breaking out the BBQ, and later on, gazing up into the glittering Dark Sky Reserve.

Our stay here was a delight
This comfortable and well-equipped cottage made for the perfect location for a long weekend in Arundel! Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean, our stay here was a delight. The secluded garden was the perfect place for an evening drink, with the kitchen providing everything we needed in terms of cutlery, crockery and equipment. The bathroom is a particular highlight, with the most impressive waterfall shower we’ve seen. With some unexpected personal touches and good communication with the agents, we’d wholeheartedly recommend the property for a few days away.

Kudos to you, Simple Getaway!
Imagine being on the most beautiful movie set you have ever been on, then realizing that you have never seen such a beautiful movie set on any movie/Hallmark series you have ever seen! There is not an inch of this property that does not catch your eye. Please take the hosts seriously when they say if you can “scale the stairs,” to get to the master bed and en-suite bath. My husband and I, both 62, could not, so we stayed in the “bake house,” behind the main house. Surprise of surprises, this was the most comfortable bedding we have ever slept on. Honestly, we got the name of the pillow and mattress pad, so we can order them. Spend time in the courtyard. It is a dream! The hosts are wonderful, the town is amazing, and the farmers’ market is genuine. Kudos to you, Simple Getaway!

Enjoyed everything about our stay
We enjoyed everything about our short stay at 15 Bond Street. The house and its little garden was a delight; unique in so many ways, decorated and appointed with and great deal of thought and attention to detail. There were so many nice things to look at and everything to hand that you might need for a short stay. We found Arundel a great destination, very quaint with lots to see and do. Bond Street was very quiet and parking worked out just fine and communications with our host leading up to and during our stay were excellent.
