Buried deep in the south Norfolk countryside, not far from the charming town of Beccles, Three Rivers is a very special place. It's first and foremost a delightful riverside campsite, situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Geldeston and spreading down to the banks of the Waveney river. Run by Jodi and James Bromley, it couldn't be more peaceful, natural or alluring, and the good news is that it also boasts some very comfortable, boutique B&B rooms so non-camping folk are well catered for too!

Three Rivers has three guest rooms – Marsh View, Marina View and Willow - and they all occupy the same building as the campsite reception. All are spacious, contemporary and thoughtfully decorated throughout, with a fair degree of flair and style, and come with a desk/dressing table and chairs, wifi, USB sockets, tea and coffee-making facilities and small fridges, and en-suite bathrooms with powerful showers and toiletries. Industrial-chic Marsh View, on the ground floor, has OSB wood walls and a sturdy king-size bed made from scaffolding poles and is dog-friendly – and much cosier than it sounds! Marina View and Willow, both on the first floor, are more conventionally decorated but equally spacious and comfortable, with super-king-size beds (that can be split into twin singles) and beautiful views over the river and marshes.

The best way to reach Three Rivers is by car (or bike), but once here you could quite easily stash your car keys in the drawer – in fact that's really the point of the place. The river is footsteps away, with all that entails – wild swimming, canoeing and paddleboarding, with boat hire available to everyone; there's even a floating sauna available for guest use, as well as an on-site shop. One of the best pubs in the county – the Locks Inn - is just a few minutes' walk (or paddle) away, and you can take the ferry from there (or walk or cycle) into Beccles, which is one of East Anglia's most attractive small towns, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops and walks.
