Comfy Suffolk Coast B&B in a great location in the middle of the beautiful Henham Park estate

Bang in the middle of one of East Anglia’s largest country estates, not far from the Suffolk Coast, this off-the-beaten path B&B offers characterful accommodation at Henham Park - a location which most people know for the annual Latitude Festival, which takes place here every July. Not surprisIngly it's a good place to stay during that time, but with a position in the heart of the estate you couldn’t hope for a more peaceful spot to wake up at other times of year, looking out over the horses and sheep grazing the grounds, about a half of which – 800 acres of pastureland, woodland and lake – is yours to stroll.
The B&B has just 4 large rooms set into the hayloft of the stables, all with king-size beds, thick duvets and good quality bed linen, flatscreen Freeview TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and complimentary water and biscuits. Each room has a spacious and simple en-suite bathroom – two have walk-in showers as well as baths, two have baths with showers – and there's a lovely family room with a double and 2 single beds. Downstairs a large room hosts communal breakfasts and a lounge next door has an honesty bar with fresh milk, beer and wine. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (the Henham and Blythburgh rooms are dog-friendly), although you can’t walk your dog on the estate. You fill in a slip advising what you would like cooked for breakfast the previous evening and leave it in the hall. They do a sound Full English made with good local ingredients, along with a help-yourself buffet of cereals, juice and fruit.
Above all it's a good location for exploring both inland Suffolk around Beccles and Halesworth and also the Suffolk Coast – you're only a 10-minute drive from Southwold and well placed also for the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, and also for Walberswick, Dunwich and even Aldeburgh.
