You can't beat the Marine for a boutique stay on the harbourside, and it’s probably Whitby’s most luxurious option. There are four rooms with harbour and river views – light simply floods in, and the whole of Whitby is there before you. Two of the rooms have a balcony, beds are king-sized throughout, and bathrooms are sparkly and elegant. If we had to pick, it would be Room 2, with the bedroom on a mezzanine level above the lounge.
Bear in mind too that The Marine is also known for its food, specifically the fish and seafood they serve in the spruce and stylish downstairs restaurant and bar. Is there a better spot for enjoying the best of Whitby on a long, lazy weekend. We don't think so!
