Cycling along the Seafront

An almost unbroken cycle lane runs all the way along the Brighton seafront. In total, it’s a glorious, nine-mile ride if you include the Undercliff Walk to Saltdean in the east and the spit road to Shoreham Harbour in the west. The only drawback is that in summer months, negotiating the stretches near the pier is something of an extreme sport, with meandering pedestrians and stray toddlers a real hazard.
