Brighton’s golden three-quarter-mile has been delighting all comers since Regency times. Strolling between Brighton Pier and the ruined West Pier, you pass a string of old fishing boat stores, set into the arches under the upper promenade, which have been converted into lively giftshops, cafés, beach bars and clubs. After dark, the mood hots up when classic Brighton nightspots such as the Honey Club, the Funky Buddha Lounge and Digital kick into action.
