Haydens
108 High Street Rye TN31 7JE
With organic and fair-trade produce at the fore, the stylish Haydens dining room is actually part of a tidy little B&B with a patio out back. The seven rooms are individually designed with quirky names like 'Kingfisher', 'Mulberry' and 'Sand Piper', while downstairs what was predominantly a coffee shop, now has a reputation for good food throughout the day. There are gluten-free and veggie options alongside the beef pies in what is a fairly traditional English menu and as much as possible is ’fresh, local, organic and seasonal’. The service can be a little leisurely and is easily confused but it’s usually worth the wait, particularly for the warm treacly brownies.
