Wychwood Festival
Cheltenham Racecourse Prestbury Park Cheltenham Gloucestershire GL50 4SH
If you're in the Cotswolds over the Jubilee week and have no plans for the 8th–10th, get yourself to Cheltenham Racecourse for one of the best festivals in the country. This annual three-day family event combines music, theatre, dance, literature, and arts and crafts, with a wide range of hands-on activities for all ages from the very small to the teenage, and even for the parents. This year the main stage has a cracking (albeit somewhat eclectic) line-up which includes James, Dr & The Medics, The Roving Crows, Katy Ashworth, The Saw Doctors, Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends and Dodgy. If you fancy staying on site for the weekend, it's pretty civilised – the campsite has separate areas for those with kids, those looking for a little peace and quiet, visitors with disabilities and just about anyone. Not only are there regularly serviced toilets but also showers with running hot water. Considered the leading family festival on the UK calendar, it's a must-visit event for those festival lovers amongst you with little ones in tow.
