Welcome to the Proud Experience – part gallery, part bar, with walls ladened with somewhat pretentious yet affordable art work that also smells intoxicatingly fragrant of leather, varnish and sweat from last night's gig. The bar itself is a converted horse-hospital, and during the week you can kick back and sip a beer in the presence of anything from dancing Poles to Playstations. Come the weekend, it's rammed – mainly for the lingerie-clad bartenders and a range of middling to famous live acts attended by the trendy Camden elite on the guest list. Impossible to resist.

For a more sensual experience, glam up and head down to Proud Camden's recently relaunched Proud Cabaret – North London's own answer to the sexy cabaret chain.  On Thursday to Saturday only, be dazzled by an evening of erotic entertainment, including top end burlesque and cabaret, accompanied by a two or three course meal and cocktails.
