One of the first boutique places in Leeds, this small 42-room hotel (named after its address) continues to appeal to those who like a bit of urban grit with their fancy accommodation. Located in a converted riverside corn mill, it combines original features such as old beamed ceilings, bare-brick walls and mill girders with handmade beds and a colourful, contemporary internal makeover. Breakfast celebrates local producers – there’s even a separate sausage menu – and while there’s no restaurant you’re just a stone’s throw away from some great eating places. There is an honesty bar though, and homemade shortbread and fudge, so nightcaps and munchies are well taken care of.
