The Flask
14 Flask Walk Hampstead London NW3 1HE
Hampstead’s Flask (confusingly, there is another Flask over in Highgate) is a classic Victorian pub that serves good Youngs beers to a mixed crowd of locals, shoppers and tourists. It’s a bit of a looker, with a Victorian glazed partition, with original painted panels, separating the two bars at the front. At the back is a conservatory and restaurant room. It’s a friendly, welcoming place, with Youngs bitters and a fair range of lagers. Most people come here for a pint but there is a full menu of trad pub food (steak-and-ale pies, fish and chips, sausages, steaks, Sunday roasts), as well as sharing platters and sandwiches. There’s also a popular Tuesday night quiz.
