Ginger & White
4a–5a Perrin’s Court Hampstead London NW3 1QS
Hampstead is not short on cafés but Ginger & White is one of the nicest, and handily positioned if you’ve come here shopping, in a pedestrian alley just off the High Street. It does exemplary coffees (Square Mile roasted) and exquisite-looking and tasty cakes, high-calibre Eccles cakes, croissants and and muffins, and breakfast treats from bacon butties to boiled eggs with marmite soliders, which have made it a favourite with morning commuters and post-school run parents. The lunchtime sandwiches aren’t bad either, featuring smoked salmon and rocket or salt beef on sourdough, and a couple of imaginative salads.
