First Wave Adventures Activity Centre is a really cool beach-side activity centre in Newquay. They specialise in school/college trips. We took a school group there on a surfing trip earlier this year and it was a great place to learn to surf and our students participated in their Junior Surfing Scheme qualification. They also offer lots of other really cool activities including surf rafting, which has to be tried – it's like white water rafting but in the waves!! The accommodation and the staff were also brilliant. They also provided us with a full risk assessment which was a must for us. The food was fairly basic but nice and exactly what we needed. The best bit was that the teachers went completely free and we were also invited to go on a pre-trip inspection to Cornwall to check-out the facilities! We spent 2 nights at one of their beach-side hotels and got free breakfast and surf hire which was excellent. Highly recommended!!
