Part of a chain but not a bad stab at the archetypal all-American Diner, with shakes and smoothies, eggs made to order, proper hamburgers smothered in cheese, and the kind of classic Americana décor we’ve all come to expect in these sorts of places: traditional leather booths, a retro bar and an open kitchen – though with the added bonus of an upstairs roof terrace. Nip up here and sip one of their milkshake cocktails – we recommend the Kraken, with rum, banana ice cream, maple syrup and malt – and make believe you’re in Happy Days. A perfect place to break off from your shopping.
