Jazz Café
5 Parkway London NW1 7PG
Camden has seen plenty of impressive rock venues over the years, but the Jazz Café stands out from the crowd – and not only for it style of music. When the former bank opened in the early 1990s it was pretty much purely a jazz venue. Since then it's been transformed into a dynamic space, hosting the sexy, smooth sounds of hip hop, RnB, world, funk and soul, as well as its original jazz vision. It's hot, crowded and intimate, perfect for the kind of music they showcase here. And although not cheap, it's a great venue on busy nights – though you'll have to pay for dinner on the upstairs balcony to be sure of a decent view.
