The Camden Crawl
Camden London NW1
If you happen to find yourself in Camden around the early May bank holiday then you're going to be in for a shock. Spread out over an entire weekend, the festival-esque Crawl is a collaboration of indie fans, classic Camden venues and music promoters all bear-hugging each other for the sake of rock and roll and getting plastered. It's about affordable live music and a chance for people to experience up-and-coming bands and old school legends alike. Famous stage-sweating rock heroes of the past who have rocked up for the event include Kasabian, Florence and the Machine, Graham Coxon and Supergrass. Throw in some cheap(ish) warm beer, a small army of fancy-dressed lunatics and plenty of anti-establishment sloganeering and you've got yourself a Crawl – Camden style.
