11–13 Exmouth Market London EC1R 4QD
This light and spacious Antipodean joint on Exmouth Market, the brainchild of New Zealander Miles Kirby (formerly head chef at Providores in Marylebone), has many hats to wear. It’s a restaurant, a bar and a café all rolled into one, roasting its own coffee in the basement, offering a breakfast menu in the week and a brunch menu at the weekend, and with an all-day mix and match fusion cuisine menu of small and large plates that means you can have pretty much whatever you want, whenever you want it. It can get busy here, but the staff have that relaxed style that makes you feel welcome, and although the music can be loud, on warmer days the bi-fold doors open right up and the diners spill out onto Exmouth Market. To be honest, even on cold days they usually overflow at weekend brunch time.
