For all its monochrome boldness, the Oasis blends innocuously enough into the identikit stretch of office fronts on this side of Shaftesbury Avenue. But for the residents and workers of Covent Garden and around, the Oasis is a veritable institution. For decades, locals have worked up a sweat in the centre's squash courts, gym, group exercise studios and sauna. The main draw here though is the Oasis' rooftop swimming pool, which is perfect for a few leisurely (if slightly surreal) lunchtime strokes in the noisy heart of the West End. There’s an indoor pool as well for those winter workouts.
