"Churchill's" is a Kensington institution, popular with locals and visitors alike. From the outside, the place may appear to be just a traditional English pub bedecked in bright blooming flowers, but dodge the drinkers at the packed bar to head out the back and you’ll find yourself in a charming butterfly garden-inspired restaurant which serves some of the best (and cheapest) Thai food in town. The stir-frys and curries arrive on plates piled high, service is friendly and swift and there are several local real ales on tap to quench the thirst. If you’re not used to spicy food, beware, this is one restaurant that doesn’t scrimp on chillies. And be prepared to eat and run, tables are turned over with breakneck speed.
