The Kensington Wine Rooms are one of the best places in London to indulge a love of wine. The wines available here (some 40 by the glass) have been selected with pride and passion from around the world and the sampling of new and different varieties is positively encouraged. Take a seat on one of the high stools or on the banquette seating in the bar area, or settle in to the restaurant for a laidback evening of wine education. In the bar, pre-paid cards are on sale, which you can then use to select wines in 125ml and 175ml measures, with or without help from the bar's wine specialists. Naturally, both reds and whites are available and there's also great selection of sparkling and sweet wines, beers and spirits. Tapas and larger meals are served, including British cheeses and Spanish meats that are the ideal accompaniment to the wines on offer, and the main menu lists wine to match your choice of food. They also runs regular wine tastings and courses, plus all the wines can also be purchased by the bottle to drink at home later.
