A lovely bakery and café with delicious and inventive tarts, cakes and bread. This small artisanal bakery chain, which started in Greenwich, has recently moved in to Notting Hill. There's a great range of pastries here, from simple brownies to more elaborate confectionary like rhubarb tarts. It's a little more corporate than other options like the Hummingbird but the baking is good, there isn't the crush of Portobello Road and the coffee isn't bad either. There are soups and other bits and pieces available, but mostly the focus is on bread and pastries. A good option if Notting Hill feels too crowded, and not far away from the station on the way to Kensington Gardens.
