Inaho
4 Hereford Road Notting Hill London W2 4AA
Squeezed into a tiny former box garage, beside one of the big townhouses of Notting Hill, this fabulous sushi restaurant serves fresh fish lovingly sliced and rolled into neat little packages by a father and daughter team. Everything you'd expect is on the menu, including fabulously fresh sushi and sashimi, wonderfully light prawn and vegetable tempura, bento boxes at lunchtime, and more unusual fare, such as – good although pricey – toro tuna, grilled aubergine rolls and other exotic stuff you won't easily find elsewhere. Expect to squeeze into your seats – there are just 10 tables, and it's a tight fit – but the charm of the place is completed by the spartan, homely decor, with Japanese prints and a lucky cat in the corner.
