Rivington Place
Rivington Place, Shoreditch, London EC2A 3BA
With its sleek geometric and monochrome exterior, Rivington Place is well suited to its location on one of Shoreditch’s most hip back streets. Its motto is ‘art, debate & diversity’, and its programme of exhibitions, talks and events worthily aims to promote all three. Among recent exhibitions is ‘Social Fabric’, which uses contemporary artwork, Marx’s journals, fabric, paintings and audio recordings to explore the international textile trade. There are regular talks on the arts and social issues and, as well as the exhibition space, the building also houses an international art library, a photographic archive, a café and a bookshop.
