A very Cambridge interpretation of a boutique hotel, set in a grand Victorian garden villa whose generous and stylish bedrooms marry style with comfort – think opulent simplicity in décor, with walk-in Grohe rain showers in slate bathrooms. The building, which dates back to 1852, retains many wonderfully restored original features that seamlessly merge with the new interior. Such understated chic also extends to an excellent restaurant, Graffiti, which serves modern British cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. Outside the city centre, its a quick bus journey into Cambridge, though a 25 minute stroll is an equally good option, taking in the peaceful surroundings en route.
