Central Scotland
Central Scotland is a lot more enticing than it sounds, with the counties of Stirlingshire, Perthshire and Dunbartonshire not only holding some of the country's most spectacular scenery but some of its most historic corners too – but all within an hour or two of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Stirling is home to arguably the UK's most impressive castle, the Bannockburn area, now a National Trust for Scotland sight, will ring historic bells with just about everyone, while to the north Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park provide some of the most beautiful landscapes in a country that isn't exactly short of such things. Naturally there are some great places to stay in Central Scotland: a couple of superb self-catering cottages spring to mind, but there are also some terrific B&Bs, pubs and inns and hotels (including one owned by a certain famous Scottish tennis player) , along with a range of cabins, lodges and glamping sites that are among the UK's best.Best Places to Stay in Central Scotland Holidays – Accommodation and Places to Stay in Central Scotland I Cool Places
