Steam Yacht Gondola

The National Trust has restored the beautiful 19th-century steam yacht, the Gondola, and runs it on Coniston Water in the spring and summer season. Wonderfully decorated, and with plush upholstered interior saloons, it makes for a delightful way to see the lake – the cruise lasts 45 minutes or you can get off at a couple of piers (Brantwood and Monk Coniston) for local walks and attractions. There are also longer 90-minute cruises two or three times a week which show you more of the lake.
