Just yards away from a pebble beach and the sea, this lovely little café and B&B makes a great refuelling stop if you’re passing this way along the coastal path, or visiting the Slapton Ley and Slapton Sands. It’s also well worth making a detour for if you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a bacon butty or afternoon tea. Carol and daughter Bonni specialise in traditional home cooking, and there are daily lunch specials, lots of cakes and good coffee. Stretch out at a table outside in sunny weather, or cosy up inside, where you'll find a comfy leather sofa, quirky little knitted cup cakes and tea cosies for sale and free wi-fi. Children are welcome (but no dogs are allowed inside). The two simple but stylish rooms for B&B look directly onto the beach.
