Part of the Rick Stein group, and the more famous Seafood Restaurant’s less formal counterpart, St Petroc’s is a cosy-chic bistro serving fresh seafood and steaks, simply prepared and sensibly priced. Classics include rib-eye steak with béarnaise and thin-cut chips, whole grilled sole and the odd pasta dish. But, as you might expect from seafood virtuoso Stein, the menu changes daily according to what’s been hauled in. They also have some rather nice rooms to rent upstairs.
