First-time glampers take note. Not only is this luxury campervan about as well-appointed with luxury items as you could imagine, it doesn't actually go anywhere, so you have none of the faff of deciding where to go and finding a desirable campsite. All you have to do is turn up and everything you need is right here, plus it's situated in a lovely part of Kent, near a local pub, with lots of local walks on your doorstep, and the historic and busy town of Canterbury just a a few miles away if you fancy a bit of metropolitan life. The perfect choice not only for lazy and reluctant glampers but really for anyone looking for some downtime in the countryside not far from London.
There is a chance of course that you won't want to leave the site at all. Gulliver has the cosiest double bed set into its roof, a kitchenette with a fridge and electric oven and grill, a two-ring gas hob, robes and slippers and a wood-burning stove for cosy nights in. Outside, there's a wood-fired hot tub for lazy evenings gazing up at the stars, an open-air shower (with hot water galore) and even an outdoor TV you can view from the hot tub. There's also a firepit for alfresco dinners.
If you can tear yourself away from all this, there's a pub in the village, and both the cool seaside town of
Whitstable and
Canterbury itself are within walking distance – following a path from the site that links up with the
Crab & Winkle Way. The Druidstone park is next door to the site, and the Royal and you can strike out into the countryside on any number of other footpaths and byways. Above all it feels a long way from anywhere but you're actually only an hour's drive from London. Lazy glampers, come this way! Other accommodation on the same site includes the
Tree House Hideaway,
The Enchanted Faraway Tree,
A Secret Garden and
Honey Tree Lodge.
