Escaping Londoners Simon and Andrea Copper came to Mevagissey just under a decade ago, and they offer low-key holidays to small groups at Little Pebble House, which sleeps up to 4 adults in comfort and style.
First things first, Little Pebble House enjoys lovely sea views, and has been renovated with an eye for detail, with no expense spared on its decoration. It boasts a large sitting room form where you can enjoy those views, not to mention a wood-burning stove and Bluetooth sound system. There's a separate dining room with a glass Eames table, off the open-plan and superbly equipped kitchen, with double oven and hob, dishwasher and just about everything else you could possibly need to whip up a meal with fresh locally caught fish from the harbour. There are sea-facing terraces to sip a glass of wine and consider your good fortune in staying here, while the two double bedrooms complete the picture: one, the main suite, has a super-king-size bed and Smart TV, a dressing room and an en-suite with a large walk-in shower; the other has a king-size bed and Freeview TV and an adjoining bathroom with a big walk-in shower.
Your hosts – former corporate key account executive Simon and ex-ballroom and Latin American dancer, teacher and marketing guru Andrea – are friendly and welcoming and a mine of information on the area. The house is well located for the South West Coast Path as well as a number of other attractions in what is a beautiful part of Cornwall – you're not far from either the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project – 5 and 20 minutes away respectively, and just a short stroll from the beach, local shops, restaurants, pubs and even Stand-up Paddleboard hire! On the other hand, you may have made yourself so comfortable at Little Pebble House that you won't want to leave!
