Independent Hostel

Oxford’s first and biggest independent hostel and also the best option if you’re after a cheap bed for the night. This place oozes fun and energy, the rooms are clean and there are all the facilities you’d expect. The hostel features both single and mixed sex dormitories, with four to 18 beds per room. A Continental breakfast is included in the price and there’s a tidy kitchen and bar on site – plus knowledgeable, friendly staff who can provide you with all sorts of tourist information. Many visitors who stay here say it’s the wonderful people you’ll meet who’ll make your stay great – prepared to be social. The hostel also has a great location – a five-minute walk from many attractions, bars and restaurants, and the River Thames. Although, be prepared for late nights – it’s next door to one of Oxford’s busiest clubs.
