We passed by Bristol for single night's stay and came across the Berkeley purely due to its availability on the night online. It is set in a beautiful Georgian square with a lovely communal garden in the centre and the hotel itself was a chic boutique-like hidden gem. There is funky art deco everywhere with a wonderful outdoor garden and cocktail bar downstairs with local talent acoustic event taking place in the bar which was a great way to end the night. The room was spacious and the staff wonderful, as an artist myself I found it very encouraging that they supported so much of the local talent with not only displays but exhibitions of work. I asked the receptionist about this and she told me that they were part of the Clifton Art trail which sounds fantastic, I will definitely come back fot it!
